Zurich | Switzerland

A Romanesque jewel.

With its distinguishable twin Gothic towers, the Zurich cathedral was built between the years 1100 and 1250. This edifice was of significant importance during the Swiss-German reform in the 16th century. Inside the Romanesque building, one can admire the organ which is reputed to be the most beautiful and impressive in the country; the instrument was designed by Metzler, an authority on the craft renowned throughout Europe.
