The Swiss giant.The Zurich Hauptbahnhof or Zurich central station is a major axis, crossroads of the German, French, Italian and Austrian train lines and remains a major communications hub on the old continent.
Located in the heart of the city, the building, which was inaugurated in 1847, is the work of the architect Gustav Albert Wegmann and welcomes over 360,000 passengers daily thanks to its 26 lines serving bordering countries as well as the Zurich region.
